It ...

:::said in a dramatic voice::: It is done. I had an "interview" at Starbucks this morning ... I'm hired. It was only 9 months ago that I was writing my blog of excitment about leaving Starbucks. Oh well. I'm really trying to focus on saving money for my wedding planning business so I need to make and save as much as possible. And working at Starbucks will allow me to get my shifts over with before my shifts at the Elephant Bar even begin, so I will still be getting home at the same time, even if that means getting a lot less sleep. AND since it's been less than a year since I last worked at Starbucks, I still get to have my same hourly wage that I had before (since I had a raise), which is $8.75- as opposed to the $7.40 that everyone else will be making. Woo hoo!

Well, I suppose I'm going to try and get some exercise in before work, so I'm off!

This is BULL SHIT

FUCK. Sorry that just had to come out. Today at work I was f**king robbed. Only this time, some one stole all the money that was in my wallet. And, as luck would have it, today was the day I was going to go deposit all my past THREE WEEKS worth of piddle tips at the bank so I had $300 worth of CASH STOLLEN. Keep in mind that work has been so bad lately, that this is WEEKS worth of money. FUCK!!!!!!! Sorry that just had to come out again. At this rate I am NOT going to have enough money for essential things like Christmas presents, plane tickets, etc etc. This is complete BS. My manager has been telling everyone not to leave their purses in the car because we've had TWO workers had their cars broken into in the past 2 weeks. BULLSHIT!!!!! I'm so furious right now. If you hadn't noticed. What little money I HAD made this month, was stollen today. :(

Turkey Day

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :D

Chris and I are leaving shortly to go spend the evening with his family at his grandma's house. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Some things that I am thankful for ... 1.) My family and friends 2. Chris and Toasty 3. My health 4. A nice place to stay (aka Chris' apartment.) 5. The fact that I "have" a job even though technically it's a huge pain in my arse right now, and 6. Everything else I didn't mention. :P

Pros and Cons

Chris said I should list the pros and cons of getting a second job at Starbucks. (Again.) So here they are, (the ones that I can think of anyway!)

Working at Starbucks PROS:
- The Elephant Bar has been a terrible source of income lately because management insists on cutting nearly all the servers after about an hour, hour and a half of taking tables. Which means for the past month I've been walking out with very little, usually some where around $20. Working at Starbucks (even just 3 times per week,) would bring in several hundred extra dollars each month.
- Free Starbucks drinks again! Seeing that I am an "addict," it would probably save me a minimum of $43ish dollars I spend there each month. (That's assuming I go 3 times per week every week.)
- If I work at least 20 hours per week, I could take advantage of the health insurance benefits which are excellent. (Seeing as I don't have any right now ... which ... is bad.) Although I can't remember how much $ is taken out of each paycheck doing that.
- Starbucks is right across the street from The Elephant Bar, so I would literally be able to go straight from one job to another.
- It would provide a steady source of income on the side, regardless of whether I walk out of the E-Bar with $20 or $200.
- I worked at Starbucks for almost 2 years already so I wouldn't have to waste a bunch of time training.

Working at Starbucks CONS:
- Lack of SLEEP. I would probably be working the opening shift from 5am until 12pm, and then working at the Elephant Bar from 12:15 until whenever I get cut. (That's assuming that Starbucks needs some one to open and that the Elephant Bar would give me shifts starting at 12:15pm rather than say, 10:30am.)
- Doing double shifts would be a pain in the ARSE, and two work schedules are always harder to coordinate and get time off from.
-I'd become a zombie again. (At least on those days of the week.)

I don't know what do to ... opinions anyone?

Desperate Times, Desperate Measures

Work has been so bad lately, (ie I've been walking out nearly every day with only about $20,) that I'm CONSIDERING doing the ultimate move of desperation: getting another job. At Starbucks. Again.

There's a Starbucks right across the street from the Elephant Bar and I could work (at Starbucks) from like 5am till 12ish, and then go straight across the street to work at the E-Bar from 12:15 till whenever I get cut. It would be QUITE miserable but ... ummm ... yeah. It's that bad. Who knows. I'd REALLY rather not return to my life of no sleep but ... we shall see ...

Just ... damn.

I just bought this over-sized purse today, isn't it cute? I don't normally buy expensive "name brand" purses and such but ... I needed a new purse because my current one was looking a bit ragged and so I wanted to spend a bit more than the usual $10-20 and I happened to come across this lovely one on sale for $75 (normal price $100) sooooo ... after much deliberation I finally bought it. Today I also bought 3 new tops, lip gloss, and a new scrap book! It was a good afternoon. :D

Yesterday I also went and bought Christmas decorations, yay! I LOVE to decorate. :P The good thing is, is that next year I won't have to really spend anything on decorations (unless I want to) because I'll already HAVE them. This year, I'm starting from scratch. lol. But yeeeeeeah the apartment is going to look so very cheery! :P

This week Chris and I ate out 3 times. Monday we went to I-Hop where I tried their seasonal "pumpkin pancakes," and just ... damn. Everybody needs to go to I-Hop. On Wednesday I took Chris to The Olive Garden for his birthday where I got my usual chicken alfredo pizza, caramel hazelnut macchiato (THE BEST,) and punpkin cheese cake for dessert. And just ... damn. Everybody needs to go to The Olive Garden and try it. :P Friday Chris' dad took everyone out for Chris' birthday and Chris chose Chilis. Also yummy. I tried their chicken and lettuce wraps. MMMMMM mmmmm.

And now I must away to another activity. (Whatever that may be.) :P

A Little Clarification

Ok so just for clarification in reference to my last post, I did not mean to offend anyone by my specification of "mexican" in my hostility about the awful tip I recieved. I think Chris' comment pretty much says it all. However, let me just say that last year when I worked in Burbank it was the "senior citizens" who were the awful tippers. Now, working in West Covina, it is the mexicans who consistantly tip the worst. That's a fact, and it's really frustrating not only to me, but to everyone who works there. (Several of the servers are mexican as well.)

Obviously not "all" mexicans tip awful, but that's just the trend I'm seeing these days. And I obviously don't have anything against mexicans, afterall, the only two guys I have ever dated have both been mexican. (My past boyfriend and my current boyfriend.)

Anyhow I'm starving and Chris and I are about to go eat- YUMM-O. I got an oil change today. That was exciting. Well not "me" ... my car did. :P

Short Rant

Today has been a lazy afternoon. Chris and I watched a rather awful zombie movie made in the 1970's called "The Messiah of Evil." LOL. Yeah ... it was bad.

I "was" going to paint today since it's my day off but right now I'm not feeling too inspired ...

Work is just continuing to go down hill. Last night I waited on 3 mexican teenagers who sat at my table (one of only TWO tables I had all evening,) for almost 2 hours. Their bill was $75. The tip they left me? ONE CENT. ONE f**king cent. Arrrrrgh I get a head ache just thinking about it. Have I mentioned yet how EXCITED I am to one day be able to start my wedding planning business? I mean I'm getting really, really excited with each passing day that I spend at the DAMN E-Bar.

I can't believe it's already almost Thanksgiving. Woah.

Good Things Will Come

Just got done watching "Supernatural," love that show! :D (And it has nothing to do with the fact that both leading men happen to be quite ... ehem ... attractive. :P)

Made some good progress on "Resident Evil 4" today. Victory WILL be mine! ( ... evetually. :P)

I'm really frustrated with work right now. People just DON'T know how to tip well no matter how well you serve them. It's so aggravating. And I'm also having annoying scheduling problems. I soooo look foward to the day when I get to start my wedding planning business! It will be BEAUTIFUL to be my own boss some day. Ahhhhhh.

How Amusing ...

I was all excited yesterday about the time change and how I "gained" an hour but ... now I feel differently. It's only 4:30pm and the sun is setting. Blegggh- now it will be dark by 5pm! How amusing ... how depressing.

Also depressing is the fact that work was SO slow today I made almost no money. Not cool.

Well I must go tend to my hot cup of tea now. Cheerio.
