This is one of the times of year that I always look foward to. I love it when you start to feel that crisp, autumn chill in the air, and the green leaves of summer begin to turn vibrant shades of orange, red, and yellow. I love being able to wear cute sweaters and coming home to get all snuggly with a nice, hot cup of apple cider. Unfortunetly here in California, the palm trees don't really turn shades of orange ... or red ... or yellow. In fact, they don't really turn shades at all unless they get too dry, THEN they turn a nice shade of brown, lol.
Back home, this was always the time of year where I'd bake a bunch of autumn/Halloween themed sugar cookies and give them out to friends and family. I suppose I could do that still ... although the list of family and friends would be a bit shorter. = P
It's finally starting to get a bit cooler here, and by cooler I mean in the 70's as apposed to the 90's. But I'm grateful for that tempature change, even if it IS a bit warmer then I'm used to at this time of year.
What I'm really in the mood for right now is to go on a nice, long hike in the mountains. The Rocky Mountains! I want to see the changing trees and feed the ground squirrels. That sounds like fun. =)

Ah yes, I know. I <3 fall myself, and back here in good 'ol Missouri, the leaves are just starting to change. Crisp fall mornings, coat weather, very exciting. Last night I even sat down in a chair and did some kitting. I'm such a grandma, but it was sooo cozy!
